Riachuelo Accelerates Time to Market and Meets Fast-Changing Consumer Demands with Centric PLM™

Riachuelo, the third-largest department store chain in Brazil, needed to speed up product development and better respond to fast-changing customer demand, especially as the pandemic shifted shopping patterns toward at-home and online purchases. The retailer also faced the challenge of standardizing workflows across a large, vertically integrated operation with many teams using different tools and spreadsheets. Centric Software’s Centric PLM was introduced to help Riachuelo manage this complexity.

Centric Software implemented a cloud-based, configurable Centric PLM solution with mobile apps and 3D/Adobe integrations to unify workflows from merchandising to sourcing and design. The result was faster development, better process standardization, improved margin decisions through make-or-buy scenario planning, and fewer physical samples. Riachuelo also saw measurable digital growth, with e-commerce traffic rising 249% and sales increasing 124% in 2020.
