KaDeWe Streamlines Processes for the Luxury Department Stores with Centric Planning

KaDeWe, the luxury department store group, faced the challenge of managing very large assortments across multiple brands and three retail concepts per location, with the Berlin store alone carrying around 400,000 products. Their existing planning process was time-consuming, inconsistent, and prone to data errors, making it difficult to analyze performance, optimize inventory, and set sales and buying targets. KaDeWe turned to Centric Software and its Centric Planning solution to address these issues.

Centric Software implemented Centric Planning to streamline strategic and merchandise financial planning, including sales, margin, buying, and stock projections. By replacing Excel-based workflows with an integrated planning system, KaDeWe gained automated data consolidation, a single version of the truth, better transparency, real-time reporting, and faster decision-making. The solution also improved buying processes and stock projections, while enabling scenario planning for more agile strategy development.
