Lancaster is a French leather‑goods brand (founded 1990) known for accessible luxury handbags and accessories sold in 60+ countries through more than 1,000 outlets, producing about 1.5 million items a year. Facing shrinking development cycles and the need to support a multinational, multi‑brand strategy, Lancaster needed to reduce time to market, accelerate product creation, consolidate global collections and enable mobile, real‑time collaboration for traveling teams and sales reps.
Lancaster implemented Centric 8 PLM and its mobile apps (notably the Collection Book) for usability, flexibility and on‑the‑go access. The solution consolidated data and processes, sped product development, gave sales real‑time access to collections, and supported geographic assortment decisions—resulting in improved productivity, faster time to market and growth in overseas markets, alongside an ongoing partnership with Centric.
