Normandy hospital consortium automates monitoring for strengthened IT service reliably and care journeys

GHT de l’Estuaire de la Seine, an eight-hospital consortium in Normandy, needed a better way to monitor a complex, multi-site, multi-platform IT environment that supports patient care. Its teams wanted to standardize monitoring practices, improve alert relevance, preserve local autonomy across sites, and increase the reliability of critical systems such as virtual servers, databases, storage, and application flows. To address this challenge, they turned to Centreon Business Edition.

Centreon implemented a centralized monitoring platform with pollers, ACL-based access rights, mapping views, and Plugin Packs, helping the consortium automate monitoring and improve on-call management. The results were significant: morning monitoring time dropped from five people spending three hours to one person spending one hour, daily alerts were reduced to about 10–15, and availability reached 99.8%. With Centreon, GHT de l’Estuaire de la Seine improved incident prevention, boosted IT reliability, and strengthened the overall care journey.
