Fort Worth Fire Department faced a rigorous CALEA self-assessment process that required clear, demonstrable adherence to public safety communications standards and faster, more reliable response operations. To meet these challenges they worked with CentralSquare Technologies, deploying CAD Enterprise and Mobile Enterprise to provide integrated AVL, mapping, unit recommendations and mobile access for field personnel.

CentralSquare Technologies’ CAD Enterprise and Mobile Enterprise provided shared police–fire systems, an advanced CAD‑to‑CAD interface with Medstar EMS, real‑time mapping, messaging and a sophisticated unit recommendation engine that routes the closest appropriate unit by fastest estimated response time. The solution reduced response times, improved interoperability and field access to mission‑critical information, and helped the Fort Worth Fire Department become the first sworn fire communications center awarded CALEA accreditation.
