ProMedica Health System improves efficiency with a secure remote access solution from CentraComm

ProMedica Health System, a large integrated health system serving more than 2.5 million patients across Ohio and Michigan, needed a more comprehensive remote access solution. Its existing VPN was limited to Windows PCs, required frequent software downloads, and struggled to support hundreds of applications across a wide range of users and operating systems. ProMedica turned to CentraComm for a more flexible, secure, and highly supported remote access option.

CentraComm implemented a Juniper SA4500 SSL VPN solution, supported by managed services for monitoring, backup, and ongoing administration. The new portal launched successfully, giving several hundred users secure access to applications like PACS and Lawson across different computers and operating systems, while improving reliability and reducing login and firewall issues. CentraComm’s solution was up and running in less than half an hour during the demo, with 80% of applications already working efficiently, and ProMedica reported strong performance and uptime, including a last reboot 229 days prior.
