Libbey Inc., a global glassware and tableware manufacturer with 1,600 users across five countries, needed CentraComm to help secure its network, improve remote access, and reduce lag on critical applications. Although the company already had firewalls and VPN tools in place, it wanted stronger security, proactive monitoring, and better support for a complex international environment.

CentraComm implemented Juniper IDP intrusion prevention, SSL VPN, internal firewalls, and WAN acceleration across Libbey’s sites in the U.S., China, the Netherlands, Mexico, and Portugal. The result was stronger security, compliant reporting for Sarbanes-Oxley, and dramatically better connectivity, including 80–85% faster application performance in China and a reduction in a nightly transfer from nearly three minutes to 30 seconds. CentraComm also helped Libbey avoid costly network upgrades by improving efficiency instead of increasing bandwidth.
