The Big Bang Effect Of Centerity Bsm On KPN’s Cloud & Managed Services

KPN, the largest telecommunications and IT services company in the Netherlands, needed to replace a fragmented mix of monitoring tools with a single, unified platform to reduce operational complexity, MTTR, and OPEX. The challenge was to gain end-to-end visibility across physical, virtual, application, and cloud environments while shifting from reactive fire-fighting to proactive, service-centric management. KPN chose Centerity Systems and its Centerity Monitor / BSM platform to support this transformation.

Centerity Systems deployed its unified BSM solution across KPN’s large environment, including 15,000 servers, 8,000 databases, and more than 200,000 services, and quickly began delivering much broader discovery, normalized KPIs, smart alerts, and service-level visibility. The implementation also enriched KPN’s CMDB, improved capacity planning, and integrated with tools like ServiceNow and Splunk. As a result, KPN gained a single point of truth, better transparency for customers, stronger automation and governance, improved service quality, and a significant boost to its Net Promoter Score (NPS).
