Case Study: Tarrant County College builds a more cohesive leadership culture with Center for Creative Leadership

A Center for Creative Leadership Case Study

Tarrant County College builds a more cohesive leadership culture with Center for Creative Leadership, driving 92% commitment to program goals

Tarrant County College, one of the largest higher education institutions in the U.S., faced challenges with siloed operations and the need for a more cohesive, collaborative leadership culture to execute a new strategic plan. The new chancellor sought a leadership development experience to align the senior cabinet under shared goals and a common language. They partnered with the Center for Creative Leadership for a custom executive leadership training program.

The Center for Creative Leadership designed a multi-session learning journey for the chancellor's cabinet, featuring assessments, 360-degree feedback coaching, and sessions focused on competencies like boundary spanning and trust. This initiative fostered greater team intentionality, clarity, and courage. The results included a strong commitment from participants, and the program's success led to dissemination, with campus presidents and other leadership teams subsequently undergoing CCL-led training to build internal capacity across the institution.
