Case Study: Sandberg Goldberg Bernthal Family Foundation strengthens women’s leadership with Center for Creative Leadership

A Center for Creative Leadership Case Study

Sandberg Goldberg Bernthal Family Foundation builds women’s leadership with Center for Creative Leadership across 10 cohorts

The Sandberg Goldberg Bernthal Family Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to advancing women's equality, faced the challenge of the "broken rung" phenomenon, where women are promoted to managerial roles at much lower rates than men. To enhance the leadership skills of its global network of volunteer leaders, the foundation partnered with the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL) to co-create a tailored development program.

CCL implemented the Network Leadership Development Program (NLDP), a multi-modal learning experience designed to build confidence and practical leadership skills. The results were significant, with 90% overall program satisfaction reported by participants. Over 250 leaders across 10 cohorts reported increased assertiveness, improved decision-making, and a greater focus on creating inclusive environments, profoundly impacting the foundation's global community.
