A Centage Case Study
Amwaste, LLC is a full-service waste and recycling company operating in Alabama, Georgia and Louisiana with over 400 employees. The finance team faced a complex budget and forecasting challenge: multiple state- and landfill-based entities with different revenue drivers (residential, roll-off, commercial) required separate budgets, and the CFO was manually consolidating data from multiple QuickBooks databases into spreadsheets—an error-prone, time-consuming process that limited visibility into the near-term future.
Amwaste implemented Planning Maestro (Centage) to build driver-based budgets and forecasts integrated with its GL, enabling quick monthly updates, accurate contract proposals, and rolling forecasts focused on the critical 18‑month horizon. The change cut reporting and proposal preparation from days to about an hour, improved forecasting accuracy and visibility for banks and investors, reduced staff workload through automation, and delivered faster, more reliable analytics for planning and decision-making.
