Case Study: National Portrait Gallery achieves Cyber Essentials Plus and unified email, web, CASB & MFA protection with CensorNet USS

A CensorNet Case Study

Preview of the National Portrait Gallery Case Study

Wanted to achieve Cyber Essentials certification and go beyond email security with web security, CASB and MFA

The National Portrait Gallery, a high-profile UK museum with extensive public-facing operations, needed to strengthen its security posture and achieve the government’s Cyber Essentials standard while moving beyond basic email protection to include web security, CASB and multi-factor authentication. To meet these goals the Gallery selected CensorNet’s Unified Security Service (USS), deploying CensorNet Email Security, Web Security, CASB and MFA.

CensorNet implemented USS with features such as Link Scan (URL checking at point-of-click), integrated email/web/cloud filtering, cross-channel threat blocking and MFA for privileged users, all accessible from a single portal. As a result the National Portrait Gallery gained greater visibility of cloud apps and web activity, improved detection and blocking of email threats, simplified administration for its small IT team, and achieved Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus certification with measurable reductions in email-borne risk thanks to CensorNet.
