Veramed, a contract research organisation in pharmaceutical research with around 275 staff across the UK, Ukraine, the US and elsewhere, faced the challenge of protecting clients, employees and sensitive data in a cloud‑only, perimeter‑free environment. Needing better insight into web and cloud usage and a way to formalise security for standards such as ISO 271001, Veramed chose CensorNet’s Web Security and Cloud Security (CASB) solution.

CensorNet delivered an integrated cloud Web Security + CASB deployment that went live to nearly 300 users in mid‑2022 with a quick, low‑touch roll‑out (one initial 20‑minute call) and intuitive management. The implementation gave Veramed full visibility of cloud app usage, enabled detection of malware before it reached devices, surfaced unauthorized apps for action, helped standardise security operations to support ISO 271001 compliance, and proved easy to use and support—with issues typically resolved within a day or two and minimal impact on user performance.
