Lincoln Christ’s Hospital School - Customer Case Study

Lincoln Christ’s Hospital School, a large comprehensive school for around 1,400 pupils, needed an effective web‑filtering solution to protect pupil safety and ensure staff accountability. The school deployed CensorNet’s web security offering (originally Censornet Professional, now CensorNet Secure Web Gateway) to meet those requirements.

CensorNet implemented its Secure Web Gateway to provide content filtering, proxy blocking, real‑time image filtering, BYOD VLAN scanning and policy‑based controls with audit trails. The result: tailored access for students, sixth form, staff and guests, blocked anonymisers and unsuitable sites, and continued compliance with BECTA—scaling from 100 licenses on 250 machines to 300 licenses protecting about 600 devices and supporting safer, more accountable internet use across the school.
