How to safeguard 1,500 users by going beyond web security

Royal Russell School, a coeducational day and boarding school in South London responsible for safeguarding about 1,500 users, faced an urgent need to move beyond end-of-life web security and protect vulnerable pupils’ data while securing access to cloud-hosted services. To meet this challenge they engaged CensorNet and evaluated its offerings to replace their legacy web filter and extend protection across web and cloud applications.

CensorNet implemented a combined solution—Web Security, Cloud Application Security (CASB) and Email Security—giving the school a single pane of glass to enforce rule-based, personalized access for pupils and staff, block web-borne malware and inappropriate content, and filter phishing and spam. The result is continuous protection (Email Security in use since 2019), complete visibility of attacks across devices and applications, and measurable improvements in user-level policy control and incident detection while safeguarding all 1,500 users.
