DTU - Customer Case Study

DTU (Technical University of Denmark) needed a modern way to authenticate roughly 1,400 employees across multiple systems — Citrix NetScaler, Cisco ASA VPN, SSH Gateway — and to protect sensitive research and patient data on its national supercomputer, Computerome. Managing hardware tokens for more than 1,000 users was time-consuming, costly and risked non‑compliance with strict healthcare data regulations, so DTU selected CensorNet Multi-Factor Authentication to solve its diverse login scenarios.

CensorNet deployed CensorNet MFA, integrating with Microsoft Active Directory and OpenLDAP, removing the need for hardware tokens and extending protection to about 400 Computerome scientists as well as Citrix, Cisco and SSH users. The solution simplified administration, enabled on‑the‑fly user management, delivered significant cost savings, and helped DTU meet regulatory requirements — outcomes DTU attributes directly to CensorNet.
