A Censhare Case Study
Lands’ End, the classic American clothing retailer, faced a major obstacle to its digital transformation: an aging, vendor-tied Digital Asset Management (DAM) system (in place since 2006) that couldn’t support growing ecommerce, global expansion or complex print catalog production (300+ catalog projects and ~20,000 unique printed pages per year). The legacy DAM acted more like a static asset library than a management platform, limiting integrations, searchability, personalization and scalable workflows needed for third‑party partnerships and modern marketing channels.
censhare, with implementation partner Emmsphere Plus, replaced the legacy system on AWS, migrating ~1.5 million assets (25 TB) and onboarding 700 global users; usage has grown to 2M+ asset versions. Integrations with Adobe InDesign, SSO, automation and print-production capabilities streamlined workflows, enabled third‑party access and marketplace expansion, improved productivity and reduced costs, and created a scalable content hub that supports future initiatives like PIM integration, automated localization and expanded video use.
