How CLAAS is harvesting content success

CLAAS, the international manufacturer of agricultural equipment, has used CELUM Digital Asset Management since 2009 to edit and manage thousands of images and multilingual marketing materials. With 11,000 employees, 12 manufacturing sites, 13 sales companies and over 150 importers worldwide, CLAAS faced inefficient photo-production workflows that generated multiple image versions, long lead times and high costs across its complex product portfolio.

CLAAS replaced its legacy multimedia database with CELUM, deploying CELUM workflows, CELUM InDesign.Connect and PowerPoint.Connect as a central content hub; CELUM now manages 240,000 assets (~13 TB), supports 160 editors, 270,000 downloads per year and external SMART views for 12,000 users. As a result, CELUM shortened the cycle from photoshoot to finished brochure to one month, enabled production of roughly 900 brochures in 15 languages, and reduced production costs to about one third of the previous level (a two‑thirds cost reduction).
