Vodafone Group, a major telecommunications provider, faced the challenge of gaining unified insights from the diverse TV offerings across its many international operating companies (OpCos). They needed to leverage technical and behavioral data to enhance customer experience, plan platform expansion, and comply with content providers' reporting requirements. To address this, Vodafone partnered with vendor Celfocus to develop a centralized TV analytics platform.

Celfocus implemented a cloud-based Vodafone TV Analytics solution using AWS, Elastic Stack, and Cloudera. This platform ingests and normalizes data from millions of households, providing over 100 pre-calculated KPIs through pre-built and custom dashboards. The solution, now live in 10 OpCos, processes up to 2 TB of data daily and has successfully established a comparison baseline across different countries. Celfocus delivered a scalable platform that gives Vodafone unique insights into customer behavior and ensures compliance with content providers.
