Vodafone Portugal faced significant challenges with its legacy on-premises OLAP system, which struggled with big data demands, cloud integration, and governance. To address this, Vodafone partnered with vendor Celfocus to transition to a modern, cloud-native analytics solution.

Celfocus, in collaboration with AtScale, implemented AtScale’s Universal Semantic Layer on Google Cloud Platform. This solution replicated the OLAP structures, ensuring a seamless transition for users. The project delivered transformative results, including reducing data processing times from 3 hours to 45 minutes and eliminating connector expenses. Celfocus successfully enhanced data governance, empowered users with self-service analytics, and provided a scalable platform for future growth.
