Hiscox Europe, the European division of the specialist insurer Hiscox, faced the challenge of its data being scattered and underexploited. The company lacked a central data repository, which compromised customer experience and business efficiency by making it difficult to obtain straightforward and accurate information. Hiscox Europe challenged the vendor Celfocus to build a trustworthy, cloud-based data platform to serve as a single source of truth for self-service reporting and advanced analytics across its European operations.

Celfocus implemented a scalable, multi-tenant cloud data ecosystem on Microsoft Azure, which included a data warehouse and lake, to consolidate information from over 40 source systems. The solution provided a unified platform for over 100 daily users across eight countries, enabling self-service business intelligence and establishing the foundation for advanced analytics. The top-down approach ensured the project was delivered in approximately one year, meeting pre-defined deadlines and addressing the business's main necessities for standardized, reliable data.
