Ordway (Ordway Center for the Performing Arts) had outgrown a custom, outdated scheduling system that required time-consuming manual workarounds—scheduling an 80-person department for a month took nearly five days. To modernize and accommodate their unique rules and growth needs, Ordway engaged Celayix Software and selected its TimeXpress scheduling solution (with the WebXpress employee portal).
Celayix Software implemented a configurable, rules‑based TimeXpress system that cut scheduling time from about five days to two (more than half), gave employees online access to schedules, freed administrative staff from routine calls, and eliminated significant paper use. The solution added features like availability/replacement tools, autofill shift templates, visual scheduler layouts, and reporting, and Ordway is now positioned to add Time & Attendance and payroll integration.
