Connecticut Veterans Hospital Eliminates Overtime

The Connecticut Department of Veterans’ Affairs faced error-prone, time-consuming nursing scheduling at its hospital, with schedules stored in multiple places and no reliable cost reporting or workload measurement. To address this, the hospital adopted Celayix Software’s staff scheduling solution, eTime Xpress, to standardize scheduling and control overtime.

Celayix Software implemented eTime Xpress to create rule-based schedules, record attendance, and provide payroll and cost reports; within a month the hospital eliminated all scheduling errors, removed unnecessary overtime, and lowered overall payroll costs. The solution also removed paper schedules, improved access to key metrics, and Celayix Software continues to deliver responsive support.
