Streamlining Sales Order Processing with Intelligent Process Automation (IPA)

Zenith Hygiene Group, the UK’s largest independent manufacturer of cleaning and hygiene products, was struggling to process around 7,000 sales orders each month in many different formats. The manual, paper-based approach was becoming unmanageable for the sales team, creating time-consuming admin, late finishes, and reduced productivity. Zenith worked with Celaton and its intelligent process automation platform, inSTREAM™, to streamline sales order processing.

Celaton implemented inSTREAM™ to capture orders sent by email and attachment, use OCR to extract and validate key data, and route exceptions through a “human in the loop” workflow. The solution automatically fed verified orders into Zenith’s ERP system and improved dashboards and reporting for better oversight. As a result, Zenith increased order volume by 46% while reducing the FTEs needed from 11 to 9, achieving 83% efficiency gains and improving staff morale, customer experience, and order investigation.
