A Cegid Case Study
Longchamp, the family-owned French leather‑goods and fashion house founded in 1948, has grown into an international retailer with stores across the US and Asia and more than a third of revenue from outside Europe. As the brand shifted from manufacturer/wholesaler to a fast‑moving retail model—launching two collections a year—it needed to expand globally while preserving its identity, localizing operations, and speeding up store-level responsiveness and coordination.
In 2009 Longchamp deployed YourCegid Retail across Europe, Japan, the US, China and Korea to address those needs. Cegid’s country‑specific localization and Web Access real‑time platform simplified payments and VAT refunds, gave headquarters a global, real‑time view, and standardized KPIs (turnover per sq. m., items, basket value). The result was harmonized management, faster decision‑making, and easier sharing of best practices while retaining local market flexibility.
