Telenet modernizes internal communications using the Yellow Wire

Telenet, a major cable network operator, wanted to modernize its internal communications and close the gap between how its employees used social media in their personal lives and the lack of such tools in the workplace. The company partnered with its IT vendor, Cegeka, to develop and implement a new internal social media platform.

Cegeka developed a custom program, the "Yellow Wire" (based on Socialcast), and created tailored information sessions to onboard employees. The solution was a major success, with over 2,000 of Telenet's 2,200 employees creating a profile. The platform fostered cross-departmental communication, drove creativity, and improved cooperation, all without negatively impacting productivity, a key metric that was closely monitored in the call center.
