How Duomed Belgium ramps up reporting with Cegeka Business Insight

Duomed Belgium, a distributor of medical equipment, faced a challenge in standardizing reporting across its many recently acquired European companies, each with its own systems and terminology. To support its modernized Dynamics 365 ERP and facilitate change management, the company partnered with vendor Cegeka to implement a new reporting solution.

The vendor, Cegeka, implemented its Cegeka Business Insight (CBI) solution as a data warehouse on top of the ERP, which was then visualized through Power BI dashboards. This provided employees with independent, anytime access to data, eliminating former bottlenecks. A subsequent upgrade to the Databricks platform allowed for data refreshes multiple times a day instead of once, ensuring up-to-date information. The project also reduced the cost of adding customizations by 10%. With 70% of scheduled reports delivered, Duomed is now rolling out the solution to its operations in France and Denmark.
