Cegeka helps Iriscare ensure the elderly receive the right support

Iriscare, a Brussels-based public institution responsible for social services, faced the challenge of rapidly developing a secure application to manage and pay elderly assistance allowances (THAB) following a state reform. They had a strict deadline to begin payments and needed to perform complex, accurate calculations. Iriscare turned to vendor Cegeka, with whom they had a successful prior partnership, to develop the application named Alis.

The solution implemented by Cegeka was the Alis application, which included a user-friendly portal and a precise calculation engine to ensure 100% accurate payments. Cegeka also suggested and helped develop a central data hub called Portiris to streamline integrations and enhance security. As a result, Iriscare met its strict deadline, all allowances were paid correctly and on time, and the new microservices-based architecture created a future-proof and scalable system.
