Green Clouds Over Paris Universities Leverage Green Technology with Cedexis Energy-Efficient Routing

UnivCloud, a consortium of more than 20 French universities serving 600,000 online users, needed a modern cloud infrastructure that could deliver reliable performance while also meeting strict energy-efficiency goals. Cedexis was brought in to help optimize traffic routing across multiple private cloud services, balancing availability, performance, and “green” cloud requirements.

Cedexis implemented Cedexis Powermix, which used energy-consumption data to make routing decisions and send more traffic to the most energy-efficient platforms. As a result, UnivCloud improved load balancing for a greener cloud environment and earned the prestigious “GreenTech” label, with the most efficient platforms receiving the largest share of traffic.
