Accor Hotels Leverages Cedexis Openmix in Global Multi-CDN Solution

Accor, the global hotel group behind AccorHotels.com, needed to improve website performance for users worldwide, especially in China and other BRIC markets, where a single CDN was delivering slow and inconsistent service. Accor turned to Cedexis and its Cedexis Radar measurement service to understand regional performance issues and find a better way to deliver content globally.

Cedexis implemented Openmix, a cloud-based intelligent load balancer, to route traffic across multiple regional and global CDNs based on real-time performance data. The result was a major improvement in page speed and reliability: load times in China dropped from 18 seconds to 6 seconds, overall global load times improved by 25%, and performance in the US, Brazil, and Thailand improved by 50%, helping reduce abandonment and increase conversions.
