The company needed a scalable, efficient screening solution that would identify the core competencies for sales success (sales potential, customer focus, persistence/planfulness) and deliver measurable results quickly with minimal ramp-up.
hhgregg implemented a pre-configured, job-specific CEB assessment integrated with ADP’s ATS and rolled it out to ~200 stores in under three months. Within two months, high-scoring hires were selling 10% more on average (rising to 48% more by month four), while low scorers were 46% more likely to turnover by day 120; the assessment was then recalibrated to hhgregg data to improve predictive accuracy and reduce hiring costs.
