Office of Government Property delivers a central property register in 5 months with CDS

The Office of Government Property, a body within the UK Cabinet Office, faced the challenge of replacing its 20-year-old property register, EPIMS. Two prior attempts by other vendors to implement off-the-shelf solutions had failed, leaving the organization with a legacy system that was not aligned to modern government data standards and was difficult for its 1,200 user organizations to maintain. They turned to vendor CDS for a solution.

CDS leveraged its two decades of domain knowledge to build and deploy a bespoke, modern property register called InSite in just five months. The new platform, which is compliant with the Government Property Data Standard, provides three data-input channels to better serve its diverse users and offers API-first access for the customer's own analytics. The project was a success, resulting in a secure, auditable data source for strategic reporting and having facilitated £5 billion in government asset realization over the platform's lifetime.
