A CDNetworks Case Study
Yatedo is a French people-search engine founded in 2009 that uses semantic and phonetic technology to present searchable profiles to users. With more than 5 million monthly visitors and much of its traffic coming from the United States, Yatedo’s France-based servers struggled to deliver static content efficiently—about 6 TB/month (≈90% of network load)—leading to recurrent slowdowns and average static response times near 300 ms.
Yatedo deployed CDNetworks Content Acceleration to cache and serve static assets from distributed PoPs; the two-week, transparent rollout redirected traffic to global cache servers, reduced average static response time from 300 ms to under 20 ms, improved reliability during traffic spikes, and enabled smoother international expansion while paving the way to optimize dynamic content.
