Case Study: Skype achieves smooth, low-latency multi-party conferencing with CDNetworks

A CDNetworks Case Study

Preview of the Skype Case Study

Skype - Customer Case Study

A multinational customer headquartered in Munich with seven branch offices in China relied on Skype for Business for multi-party audio/video conferencing but suffered slow logins, dropped connections and video stutter because the Skype origin servers were located outside China, disrupting daily collaboration.

CDNetworks deployed its ACCA client at each branch to identify Skype traffic and route it through the Global Acceleration Platform, optimizing back-to-origin flows and MCU stream combination. In a three-party meeting test, accelerated endpoints delivered smooth screen sharing while non‑accelerated endpoints experienced stutter, demonstrating clear improvements in conferencing performance.
