A CDNetworks Case Study
AREP, a France‑based engineering firm and subsidiary of SNCF known for designing railway stations and other urban spaces, sought to expand into China, the Middle East and Russia. After translating its site into Chinese and Russian, AREP discovered that the Chinese firewall and performance issues prevented reliable access, so it engaged consultant 404.fr to find a partner who could ensure a fast, dependable online presence in China.
CDNetworks obtained the required Bei’an ICP license and implemented a simple, static site hosted in France and accelerated via its global CDN with strong points of presence in China, Russia and the Middle East, using language‑specific domains and centralized content control. The result was immediate: AREP’s site now loads reliably in China and around the world, with improved performance, security and easy management for the communications team.
