Real-Time Data Integration Helps Orange County Streamline Communication with Constituents

Orange County, CA, one of the nation’s most populous counties, needed a better way to connect its Salesforce-based CRM and land management systems with its internal maintenance operations and ERP workflows. After MuleSoft’s free tier was discontinued and paid options were too expensive, the County turned to CData and its ArcESB product to meet its budget, integration, and real-time communication needs.

With CData ArcESB, Orange County implemented a low-code, bi-directional integration between Salesforce and SQL Server, enabling residents’ maintenance requests to flow directly into the County’s CMMS for quick triage and work-order assignment. The solution also keeps case updates and statuses synchronized back to the public portal, and the IT team was able to install and configure it within the 30-day trial period, helping the County achieve faster, more transparent service delivery at a lower cost than MuleSoft.
