A CData Case Study
Fujitsu FSAS, Inc., part of the Fujitsu Group in Japan, needed a better way to move data between its Microsoft Dynamics CRM system and SharePoint-based internal incident tracking and communication tools. The company’s challenge was to improve internal application usability and share front-line engineering knowledge without overburdening engineers with API development and maintenance.
Using CData Drivers, specifically the CData ODBC Driver for SharePoint and the Driver for Dynamics CRM, Fujitsu FSAS built a real-time, bi-directional integration between the two systems. With CData, the company simplified access through standard SQL, reduced maintenance compared with API-based approaches, lowered integration costs versus ETL/EAI tools, and streamlined internal communications and knowledge sharing across the organization.
