freee Gains Customer Insights by Enhancing Salesforce Connectivity

freee, the cloud-based accounting software provider in Japan, needed a faster way to make customer data available for executives and business users. The company relied on Salesforce for reporting and Amazon Redshift for enterprise data, but it struggled to connect the two systems for real-time, ad hoc analysis of continuously changing KPIs. freee turned to CData, using CData API Server and CData Drivers to address the challenge.

With CData API Server and the CData Amazon Redshift JDBC Driver, freee exposed Redshift data through a standardized OData endpoint for Salesforce Connect, enabling real-time dashboards without batch loading or coding. CData helped freee shorten the time to deliver new data slices from about one week to 1–2 days, and minor changes can now be made in minutes. The result is faster, more flexible access to live data for customer success and campaign analysis, along with stronger data democratization across the business.
