A CCH Tagetik Case Study
Timex Group USA, one of the world’s largest watchmakers headquartered in Middlebury, CT with ~4,000 employees and multiple global brands, faced growing finance complexity after years of expansion. Their legacy Hyperion Enterprise system lacked flexibility for accounting and reporting, forcing creation of more than 5,000 ad hoc reports and manual updates that could take weeks. The company needed a single, easy-to-use global solution that integrated with diverse source systems (including Oracle GL) and supported budgeting, consolidations and meaningful financial reporting.
Timex selected Tagetik (live August 2014) and implemented it with cross‑functional and regional stakeholders and IT support. Today about 80 users — from location staff to the CEO — use Tagetik as the company’s single source of truth. Regularly produced reports dropped from roughly 5,000 to about 500, report maintenance time fell by ~60%, executives can view data in business‑relevant ways, and Excel‑based drilldowns and a central ownership registry improved visibility and reduced manual effort.
