PLUS Group is a major Dutch supermarket chain (255 stores, EUR 2.1bn revenue) organized as independently run franchised shops. The finance team relied on customized Excel spreadsheets for consolidation and reporting, which limited drill-down, lacked controls and consumed excessive time—while the group needed standardized four-week reporting cycles, custom intercompany reconciliations and integrated acquisition/organic growth reporting.

Working with Improven, PLUS implemented Tagetik to centralize actuals, budgets and forecasts, standardize the four-week consolidation, automate ETL and validations, and introduce reconciliation controls and a two-stage reporting process with local intercompany matching. The result: faster, more controlled four-week closes, more time for analysis, improved data quality and harmonization across source systems, and better historical and comparative reporting with a full audit trail.
