Mondo Convenienza - Customer Case Study

Mondo Convenienza (Edil Tre Costruzioni S.p.A.), Italy’s leading home furniture group (2017 turnover €1,068M, 35+ stores, 2,500+ employees), faced fragmented, manual financial consolidation and inter-company processes. Growth exposed the limits of isolated systems and long cycle times, so the group set out to rationalize, standardize, simplify and decentralize statutory and consolidated reporting—including Explanatory Notes, Management Report and XBRL generation—while guaranteeing traceability and data control.

By implementing Wolters Kluwer’s CCH Tagetik (December 2015, fully integrated by April 2016), Mondo Convenienza centralized reporting in a single database, standardized parameters across the group, automated adjustments via a custom ETL and web dashboard, and decentralized data entry under corporate maintenance. The result: more than 50% reduction in manual activities, shorter close and reporting cycles, improved data consistency and traceability, drill‑down visibility to consolidation adjustments, and higher‑quality, XBRL‑ready statutory and consolidated reports.
