LEDVANCE, a global lighting-technology company (≈8,000 employees, ~€2bn revenue) spun off from OSRAM, needed a new group-level reporting and consolidation system after the split. The inherited OSRAM/Siemens landscape was too complex and costly, and the company sought a flexible, specialist-controlled “single source of truth” with a uniform process philosophy—requirements that became urgent following LEDVANCE’s acquisition by a Chinese consortium and the need to meet new reporting rules.

After a successful prototype and vendor selection, LEDVANCE implemented CCH Tagetik for consolidation, management reporting and analytics, establishing an end-to-end process from individual financial statements through the annual report. The system handled Chinese-law specifics (year‑end conversion and enriched annex data), streamlined reporting and reduced interfaces and manual work, improved controllership with intuitive analytics for ~225 users, and positions the company for further expansion (e.g., SAP HANA runtime).
