Kistler Group, a Winterthur, Switzerland–based technology company with about 1,200 employees across 30 companies in 30 countries, reorganized into a matrix structure and needed a new planning approach. The finance team required higher data granularity, production cost planning, expanded analysis and reporting capabilities, and a platform able to support group consolidation and upcoming SWISS GAAP FER requirements.

Kistler implemented a unified Tagetik and pmOne solution integrated with SAP and Microsoft SharePoint to deliver medium‑term plans, annual targets and a 16‑month rolling forecast, automated manufacturing cost calculations, strict process controls and centralized reporting. The outcome is a single, secure planning platform that provides higher data granularity, more meaningful analysis and faster, simpler reports, clearer responsibilities, greater automation and a quicker route to breakeven analysis and lower future planning effort.
