Case Study: Erste Group achieves streamlined consolidation across 400 entities with CCH Tagetik

A CCH Tagetik Case Study

Preview of the Erste Group Case Study

How erste streamlined consolidation across 400 entities

Erste Group Bank AG, a leading Central and Eastern European financial services provider with about 47,000 employees serving 16.5 million clients across 2,400 branches in seven countries, faced a complex consolidation challenge across roughly 400 entities. Their prior SAP-based consolidation was difficult to adapt, required heavy IT involvement for changes, and struggled to cope with many legacy systems and interfaces.

By implementing CCH Tagetik (on SAP HANA) for consolidation, tax reporting and collaborative office, Erste streamlined data collection, validation and consolidation into a simple, integrated process. The bank recovered more than 50% of the time previously spent on preparation, made consolidation largely independent of IT, and gained a flexible platform that supports regulatory reporting (including iXBRL) and adapts to new requirements while growing with the organization.
