A CCH Tagetik Case Study
Fininvest, a major Italian holding in media, publishing, sports and financial services with about €6 billion in revenue and some 350,000 shareholders, needed a modern Corporate Performance Management platform to handle statutory and management consolidation across seven sub-holdings and its listed companies (Mediaset, Mondadori, Mediolanum). Driven by IAS-driven accounting changes, the group sought a single, centralized system to improve data control and traceability, accelerate data gathering and transfers, reduce manual processing and lower TCO.
Fininvest implemented Tagetik 3.0 as a unified solution for consolidation, planning, reporting and compliance, enabling a shared central database, web-based intercompany reconciliation, automated generation of financial notes and drilldown transaction analysis. The project boosted information quality by 50%, cut manual processing by 30–40%, shortened the closing cycle by 3–5 days (10–20%) and reduced report production time by 40–50%, while streamlining compliance with multiple accounting standards.
