A CCH Tagetik Case Study
Cisalfa Sport, a leading Italian sports retailer with over 160 stores, 3,000 employees and hundreds of cost centers, faced time-consuming, error-prone finance processes because planning, reporting and OLAP analysis were handled by separate, non-integrated tools. Users had to manually export and merge data in Excel for closings, budgeting and analysis, so the company sought a single, easy-to-manage solution that could support complex budgeting, forecasting, profitability and HR cost processes.
Cisalfa implemented Tagetik on a Microsoft SQL Server data mart with Excel-based data input and automated ETL, rolling out modules for budgeting, closings, HR cost management and profitability. The unified platform cut manual effort by about 30%, accelerated month-end closes, enabled detailed store and personnel-cost analyses and what-if simulations for opening/closing stores, and let finance users maintain rules and reports without IT support.
