Ambea Group is a leading Scandinavian health and social care provider with about 13,000 employees and subsidiaries in Sweden and Finland. The company faced a risky, manual statutory consolidation process after its old solution went out of support: hundreds of manual journals, long close cycles, a management-reporting process built on business units rather than legal entities, and heavy dependence on scarce IT and external consultants—plus a requirement to align with the Group’s Microsoft strategy.

Ambea implemented Tagetik (with Capacent project leadership) to replace its journal-based workflow with a unified statutory and management reporting platform featuring automated consolidation, an ownership/acquisition register, built-in controls and diagnostics. The change cut the group close from three to one working day, removed hundreds of manual journals, enabled multiple finance staff to run consolidations, delivered full auditability and a “single version of the truth,” and allowed real-time consolidation after acquisitions.
