A CCH Tagetik Case Study
ALE International (Alcatel‑Lucent Enterprise) needed to consolidate 40 entities across 40 countries under IFRS and Chinese GAAP, but its legacy Essbase setup forced heavy manual reworking in Excel, reliance on an external consultant, and a four‑person year‑end consolidation effort. Rebuilding forecasting and reporting processes was urgent to meet complex consolidation rules and multiple reporting scopes.
By implementing CCH Tagetik, ALE now uses a single data model for planning and reporting with added dimensions to mirror its complex structure, allowing internal and statutory scopes to run in parallel. Consolidation time fell from four people working 2.5 hours to one person taking five minutes, while accuracy, harmonization and board confidence significantly improved.
