University of Wollongong in Dubai (UOWD), a premier Australian university in the Middle East, faced two recruitment challenges: managing student placements for employers and replacing a slow, manual hiring process for faculty and staff. With hundreds of paper and email applications to review, UOWD needed a faster, more flexible way to screen candidates and manage recruitment.
UOWD implemented Cazar’s Sniperhire recruitment platform to handle both student placement and employee hiring. The solution automated candidate screening, enabled configurable questions and workflows, and helped the university shortlist the best-fit applicants more efficiently. As a result, UOWD expanded from 70–80 staff to 250 while recruiting all of them through Sniperhire, reviewed every application instead of only about 10%, and improved interview scheduling and candidate response times.
