Visit York Information Centre - Customer Case Study

Visit York Information Centre, a new state-of-the-art visitor hub at No1 Museum Street, needed a flexible, visitor-friendly digital signage solution to present attractions, live feeds and an interactive map while boosting engagement and footfall. To meet this brief the centre deployed CAYIN Technology’s digital signage server (delivered as part of Saville Audio Visual’s installation) to drive multi-screen, dynamic content across the facility.

CAYIN Technology’s server fed five 65” and six 42” screens, LED boards and a touchscreen kiosk, enabling templated “Active Map” fly-outs, rolling messages, weather, scheduling controls and per-template viewing statistics. The result was an immersive, easily updatable information system that lets staff prioritise and add attractions on the fly and supports Visit York’s target to increase annual visits by 96,000 — a projected 40% rise to 336,000.
